🌒 Moonsighting News (10.03.2024) for Ramadhan 1445 🌙
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه
The Rochdale Council of Mosques and Wifaqul Ulama announce that due to negative moon sighting the month of Sha’baan will continue 30 days and the 1st of Ramadhan 1445 will be on Tuesday 12th March 2024 Inshaa Allah
First Taraweeh will take place on Monday night
At the meeting of RCM held on Sunday 10th March 2024, members took into consideration the following:
🔹Conditions in UK and news of actual sighting (Muhaqaq Ru’ayat e Basri) from anywhere east of UK; and
🔹Information from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Morocco and the Jamiat-e-Ulama in South Africa regarding the sighting of the new moon;
🔹and decided based on the negative sightings, that Sha’ban 1445AH will complete 30 days and thus *the 1st of Ramadhan 1445AH for Rochdale will commence as of Tuesday 12th March 2024 Insha’allah*

At Central Masjid the recital will also take place in the Riwayah of Shu’bah from Imam Asim Al-Kufi (RA)
