Understanding Qurʾān Sunnah through the Correct Methodology
A gentle reminder: Friday prayer is meant to gather us as one community, united in a single congregation.
Scholars have long emphasised that holding more than one Jumu‘ah in the same masjid should only be due to genuine necessity.
During the time of Rasūlullāh ﷺ, people would come together for one Jumu‘ah in his masjid,
even those living on the outskirts of Madīnah. This reflects the importance of gathering together
rather than dividing into multiple congregations.
We encourage everyone to make every effort to attend the main Jumu‘ah — in any Jāmiʿ Masjid of your choice —
whenever possible, so we preserve that spirit of unity and shared worship.
If regular attendance is difficult due to work or other commitments, perhaps consider a longer-term solution,
such as speaking to your employer, rearranging your schedule, or making a small sacrifice from your earnings
for the sake of consistently attending Jumu‘ah. Thus gaining all of its blessings
If this was a one-off situation, it is understandable. But if it has become a regular pattern, it is worth
gently reflecting on how we can realign our priorities towards what brings us closer to Allāh.
May Allāh Ta‘ālā reward your intention, make things easy, and keep us united upon goodness.
